I shall always associate you with one of the happiest incidents of my life – being behind bars did nothing to lessen it – that hectic, happy, carefree production of “The Man Who Came to Dinner” in which you, in a great performance, carried the role of Sheridan Whiteside with ease, conviction and polish. For spontaneity, gaiety & satisfaction it will linger longer than any other.
Thank you, Dave, for an experience long to be remembered.
